It’s easy to be enthusiastic about painting our Landscape. Using oil paints I get to draw, work with color, texture brush strokes and build light to create an impression of place. My goal is to create paintings that connect the viewer with the quiet moments in Nature.
To paint is to express an experience in time,
a conversation to remember and revisit.
Growing up in an art-centered family informed my passion for drawing from a young age. Following my undergraduate degree, I received training at Michael Coyle Atelier in Minnesota. Since moving to the Coachella Valley in Southern California I have studied with Elaine Mathews and Terry Masters in Palm Springs CA. Painting Plein air is not only a challenge but also a great deal of fun.
